It's been a bit quiet around these blog parts lately - and that's because 2015 just seemed to start off with a bang and I've been running ever since.
Happily - it hasn't been in circles - at least too much. Mostly straight lines.
But now that my kids are bigger, when I sign them up for sports? Well, we spend A LOT more time in basketball gyms now than we did last year.
Which is excellent for knitting and things. And it's wonderful to see them playing (which I never did myself - more on that later maybe.)
But has taken hours away from other things at home - including blogging and painting.
Having said that, I have gotten windows of good drawing time in lately.
I have been watching Lisa Congdon's Sketchbook Explorations series on CreativeBug (such a great website!!)
I think I've mentioned before how much I love Lisa's work and her style - it's really fantastic.
It has been wholly inspirational - and I've been having so much fun. The sketchbook drawing is really a wonderful way to explore what else I could do in my paintings and that is a really good thing.
And discovering a new design or drawing language is so exciting sometimes.
And so, I'm hoping to blog a little more frequently as we bump along through these winter months - and share more developments in my sketchbooks or elsewhere.
I hope you're all warm and cozy these days - and that the sun peeks out here and there enough to keep you jolly...
